Updated numbers were released by the Shasta County Elections Department Friday night, and district races have been updated by the state.
District Three Supervisor Candidate Corkey Harmon has regained his lead over incumbent Mary Rickert, at 55% to 45%. In the race for the Redding City Council two year term in the seat vacated by Michael Daquisto, Erin Resner is leading Mark Mezzano by 1,088 votes. For the full four year term, with two seats open, Dr. Paul Dhanuka has 40% , followed by Mike Littau, who leads Joshua Johnson by 763 votes. In the Anderson City Council Race, with four candidates vying for three open seats, the odd man out is currently Stan Nuetz, who trails Bonnie Simmons by 79 votes. For Shasta Lake City Council there are three seats open. Daniel Ringwelski leads with 23% and Greg Watkins has 22%. Toni Coats is leading Janice Powell for the third seat by 111 votes.
Doug LaMalfa’s lead is secure in his re-election to the First Congressional District, at 65% to 35% over Democrat Rose Penelope Yee. Megan Dahle has won the State Senate First District Seat over David Fennell by 76 to 24%. Heather Hadwick has defeated Tenessa Audette for the State Assembly District One Seat, by 60 to 40%.
In the Board of Education race Area One Michael Orlicky has a lead over Michele Renee Tyson by 53 to 47 percent.
For Area Two in the short term race Teresa Roberts leads Cindy Vogt 64 to 36 percent.
For the full term with two seats open its Jackie LaBarbera with 25 percent, with the lead for the second seat widening to 556 votes in favor of Jessica French over Richard Gallardo.
Measure P, which would restrict the use of eminent domain, is failing by 411 votes.
Measure Q, which would regulate how the Board of Supervisors fills vacancies in certain elected offices, is losing 59 to 41 percent.
Measure M, the Shasta High School Bond Measure is leading 59 to 41 percent.
