Shasta County Sheriff’s Deputies have been equipped with body-worn cameras. Redding Police have already enjoyed greater accountability by the use of the cameras and have been exonerated of fault in some critical incidents as a result of the recordings. Patrol deputies are already wearing the cameras and correctional deputies in the jail will soon be given them as well. The CHP is also working to equip their officers with cameras.
