The Redding Chamber of Commerce has hired a new leader. Former CEO Jake Mangas left at the end of the year to take a leadership position with Mercy Foundation North. He’s working on securing funding for the philanthropic organization, including for the construction of the Mercy Cancer Center to be built next to the Cypress Avenue Bridge. The new CEO is Todd Jones. For the last 8 years Jones has been President of the Shasta Economic Development Corporation. That puts him in a unique position of familiarity with area’s business climate and its needs. Jones will start the new job in March.
