Sheriff’s Office Will Hold Public Meeting On Agencies “Military” Weaponry

Police agencies get a lot of surplus weaponry and other equipment from the military, as well as heavy firepower purchased new that can be defined as “military”. According to a California law passed in 2021, agencies are required to let the public know what they have in their equipment inventory. The Shasta County Sheriff’s Office will hold a community meeting for the purpose of showing the public what they have on Thursday at 12:30PM in the Larry J. Farr Community Center in Shasta Lake City.
