SINTF Agents Bust Lakehead Meth Lab After Traffic Stop In Redding

Redding Police Department is reporting a seizure of a large quantity of Methamphetamine and the discovery of a lab. On Tuesday the RPD Bike Team stopped a Cadillac SUV for multiple violations near the Mount Shasta Mall. When questioned the driver, 52-year-old John Wilder of Lakehead, admitted to possessing a gun and drugs, according to officers. The Cadillac was searched, reportedly turning up 4 Pounds of Methamphetamine and a loaded gun. Officers contacted the Shasta Interagency Narcotics Task Force and a search warrant was acquired for Wilder’s home. When they arrived at the Lakehead location they met Denise Johnson. She was out on bail from a previous arrest and was allegedly in possession of about a Half Pound of Meth. When Wilder’s camper trailer was searched SINTF Agents reported finding a Meth conversion lab, another 6 Pounds of the drug and $3,500. Wilder and Johnson were both booked into jail.
