A McCloud man has been taken into custody in connection to a double murder 9 years ago in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Cheyenne Police were assisted by Siskiyou County Deputies early Tuesday morning as 68-year-old Douglas Smith was taken into custody without incident on two counts of first degree murder. In 2015 two men were shot to death during a robbery of a coin shop in Cheyenne. Many hours spent on the investigation went nowhere until last year when newly available technology led to a break in the case.
