Sites Reservoir Project Could Get Huge Boost In Funding

The California Water Commission finds itself in the position of having a great deal of extra cash to be used for water storage. The Los Vaqueros Reservoir Expansion Project had around $529 Million dedicated to it but the proponent of the project, Contra Costa Water District, is no longer interested. That means the more than Half a Billion Dollars could potentially be used for Sites Reservoir, though several other projects will be vying for the funding. The commission will hold a meeting in Sacramento next Wednesday the 19th at 9:30AM. It’ll be livestreamed at cwc.ca.gov.
