Some Turtle Bay Animals Featured On PBS Nature Series

Some of the popular animal ambassadors at Turtle Bay are also television and movie stars. The PBS Nature Series about Raptors called “A Fist Full of Daggers”, which aired Wednesday night on Channel 9, featured Turtle Bay’s Turkey Vulture named “Buzz”. He co-starred with Wild Turkey Vultures that were hanging around the skies above Turtle Bay. Curator Sharon Clay says turkey vultures, a.k.a. “Buzzards”, are the single most important scavenger animal in the world. A feature film set for national release next week called “Sasquatch Sunset” stars Jesse Eisenberg and Riley Keough. It also features a number of Turtle Bay animals including Spike the Porcupine, Digger the Badger, Blossom the Skunk, Gucci the Opossum, Mischief the Racoon and Princess the California King Snake. The featured animals were provided under the care and direction of Turtle Bay staff.
