A key connector ramp in Redding was closed for about three hours overnight after a big rig tipped over. Shortly after 11PM a semi with a box trailer was on the sweeping curve of the transition ramp from Southbound Interstate 5 to Eastbound Highway 44 when it tipped onto its side. The driver was able to climb out and was uninjured. It took some time to gather a crew to unload the cargo before heavy duty tow trucks pulled the truck and trailer back upright. The ramp reopened shortly before 3AM.
