Nearly $143,000 was distributed to local school groups Wednesday by the Redding East Rotary. It was every Penny of the money raised by those school groups through the Sundial Riffle Raffle. 28,530 tickets were sold for the raffle, with all the money dedicated to abuse prevention and youth development programs. The Sundial Riffle Raffle replaced the Ducky Derby as the Redding East Rotary’s big fundraising drive for youth, bringing in over $5 Million over the years. The top performing school was Mistletoe, which brought in $21,000, followed by Boulder Creek with more than $19,000 school and youth groups are encouraged to check their eligibility for next year.
