Supervisor Crye Will Face Recall Election In March

The petition to recall Shasta County Supervisor Kevin Crye has been certified as valid. All 5,106 signatures collected were verified by the Registrar’s Office and 4,929 were found to be sufficient. At least 4,151 were needed. The question will go before District One voters in March, and if Crye is recalled a new supervisor may be chosen in November. The recall supporters have asked the Governor not to intervene in the event of a recall, but to leave the position empty until the next election.
