There’s been more shake-up on the much diminished Shasta County Citizens Elections Advisory Commission. On Tuesday the Board of Supervisors appointed Patty Plumb, who was Patrick Jones’ choice to replace his previous appointee, Bev Gray. Prior to that appointment, the commission had been reduced to a single member because of the resignation of Lisa Michaud. The powerless commission was established last year with 5 members, one appointed by each county supervisor. Susanne Baremore and Dawn Duckett both quit last month, saying the panel is a waste of resources and has only caused confusion and additional mistrust in the system. The commission has repeatedly made recommendations to the board that are in violation of state law.
