Supervisors Approve $40,000 Health Care Consulting Contract

The Shasta County Board of Supervisors argued Tuesday about a proposed health care consulting contract with former County CEO Candidate Chriss Street. In December the board asked staff to find someone to advise on how to attract more doctors to the county. Supervisor Allen Long pointed out that a panel of medical professionals has already been doing that for years. Two years ago the Board of Supervisors offered, and then rescinded, an offer of the CEO job to Chriss Street. A $40,000 contract with Street was approved, with Long dissenting.
