Supervisors To Hold Special Meeting Friday Morning

The Shasta County Board of Supervisors next regular meeting will be on the 15th, but they’ll hold a special meeting Friday morning with just two items on the agenda. One is a vote to approve an updated calendar of the board’s meetings for the remainder of the year. Chairman Patrick Jones wanted to make some changes due to some planned absences by him, Kevin Crye and Chris Kelstrom. The other item is only for discussion and is not subject to a vote. It’ll be concerning the PG&E Zogg Fire settlement. That topic became quite contentious on Tuesday as Supervisor Crye proposed that the county fund an investigation of District Attorney Stephanie Bridgett. Crye made accusations of corruption but did not offer any evidence and admitted that he had not discussed the issue with Bridgett herself.
