During Tuesday’s Shasta County Supervisors meeting, the board will meet in closed session to discuss no less than 7 lawsuits pending against the the county. District Three Supervisor Mary Rickert, currently on medical leave, says the suits are piling up and the use of private outside attorney’s is very expensive. pending suits include one by Laura Hobbs concerning her failed election for supervisor, one by former Sheriff’s Captain Pat Kropholler, one concerning Patrick Jones’ proposed gun range on Millville Plains, one in response to the Redding Rancheria impact agreement, and many others that have not made it out of the confidential realm of closed sessions.
