A young Redding man accused of shooting another man in East Redding on March 16th has been arraigned. The District Attorney’s Office says 18-year-old Ethan Couch and several others were at a house on Ricardo Avenue when couch squeezed the trigger of a short-barrel shotgun he thought was unloaded, killing 22-year-old Paul Nelson. Everybody fled before police arrived. Couch is charged with involuntary manslaughter with enhancements. At the time, couch was out on bail from an alleged robbery of a 14-year-old victim in late February. He remains in custody on $350,000 bail.
