Tehama County Couple Sentenced After Child Brings Meth Pipe To School

A Gerber couple has been sentenced on felony charges of exposing a child to drugs. 54-year-old William Martin and 33-year-old Bobbie Jo Gumpolen were arrested in September. Gumpolen’s young child had taken a Meth pipe to school to show his counselor, and said he was often left home alone for days at a time. Tehama County Sheriff’s Deputies searched the home and found Fentanyl in easily accessible areas. The child said drugs were routinely used in his presence. Gumpolen has been sentenced to 2 years in prison. Martin got 150 days in jail, and his 2 year prison sentence is suspended on condition of 4 years formal probation.
