The Tehama County District Attorney’s Office continues its efforts to prosecute a minor teenager as an adult for the September 13th murder of a 16-year-old boy that was believed to be gang related. Three teens are in custody for that killing. 19-year-old Nathon Olney Reep is charged with first degree murder and could face life in prison without parole. The DA’s Office is pushing for the prosecution as an adult of 17-year-old Blake Michael Bush of Redding. Both defendants were in court Tuesday, and they’ll be back in December. The other defendant, 16-year-old Ryan Scott Piper, was just 15 at the time of the alleged murder and therefore cannot be charged as an adult.
