The Shasta District Fair is underway in Anderson, continuing through Saturday night. Judges are reviewing livestock, building up for this Saturday morning’s Junior Livestock Auction, the bittersweet event after which the 4H and FFA kids say goodbye to the animals they’ve raised and say hello to the profits they’ve made. Adult fair admission is $10 and it’s $6 for kids. Parking is $7. On Thursday everyone 62 and older gets in for free thanks to Classic Hits 105.3 KRDG.
