Sometimes it seems like kids just want to touch everything, the more dangerous the better, even if it’s a big piece of heavy machinery. Well, that will be encouraged this Friday at Shasta Family YMCA with an event called “Touch a Truck”. It’s a free opportunity for parents to bring their children to explore big trucks and public safety vehicles from Redding and Anderson Police, the Sheriff’s Office, the CHP, various City of Redding departments, PG&E, Shasta College and much more. There will also be a food truck there and free face painting and animal balloons. It’s this Friday from 10AM to 1PM at the YMCA south parking lot on North Court Street in Redding.
