Traffic Stop Uncovers Pringles Box Stuffed With 3 Kilos Of Drugs Near Yreka

A very large drug bust was reported Friday afternoon by the Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office. A Sergeant stopped a Chrysler for speeding northbound on Interstate 5 north of Yreka. The driver, 26-year-old Miguel De Jesus Castro-Diaz, had no driver’s license. He said he and his passenger, 28-year-old Bianca Lopez-Shivel, had come from Southern California and were headed to Salem, Oregon. The Sergeant says he got consent to search and found a large Pringles potato chip box containing 2 Kilos of Cocaine and a Kilo of Heroin.
