Two Redding Restaurants Close Their Doors

A family owned restaurant that’s been a fixture in Downtown Redding for decades is permanently closed. La Cabana had been serving Mexican food at its location on Market Street for 28 years. In announcing their going out of business, the Manzo family has issued an emotional statement thanking their loyal customers and expressing their appreciation for the community they love.

Another restaurant that’s closed its doors is the Hilltop Diner, which was operating for less than 3 years on Hilltop Drive and Mistletoe, the former location of Marie Callenders. The Hilltop Diner’s owner is Joe Wong, whose company owned local Burger Kings for decades and still owns View 202, Logan’s Roadhouse and Applebees.
