Anderson Police have made an arrest in an attempted bank robbery. On March 10th a man passed a note demanding money to a teller at the U.S. Bank on Childress Drive. The teller refused and the would-be robber fled. Using surveillance photos, APD Detectives eventually identified the man as 33-year-old Dustin Mitchell Smith of Redding, who’s on parole for a prior bank robbery. On Thursday U.S. Marshals arrested Smith at a home in Oroville. Friday he was transported to Shasta County to await court.
