A man wanted for last Friday morning’s double murder in South Redding has been captured in Siskiyou County. The two fatalities have been identified by the Coroner’s Office as 30-year-old Winfred Avant Jr and 22-year-old Isaiah Jacob Stanley. Both were shot to death at 2:41AM Friday on Meadowbrook Drive off Westside Road next to the Westwood Village Shopping Center. Three other gunshot victims arrived shortly afterward at Mercy Hospital with non-life-threatening wounds. The suspected shooter, 19-year-old Andrew Greer-Herrera of Lookout, was apprehended early Tuesday morning at a home in the Pleasant Valley Highlands near Dorris. Greer-Herrera’s alleged accomplice, 18-year-old Trevon Evanoff, was arrested Sunday in Sparks, Nevada. Redding Police got help from many different law enforcement agencies in successfully tracking down and capturing both suspects. They were hindered by many individuals who helped the wanted men evade capture.
