Update: Deputies Capture Some Of The Dogs Terrorizing Shingletown Area

Animal Regulation Officers have captured part of a pack of dogs roaming the Lake McCumber area near Shingletown. The dogs have been running free in the neighborhood and surrounding woods for some time, but recently became more aggressive and killed someone’s family dog. The Sheriff’s Office has acquired warrants to seize the dogs. In the past couple of days, the warrants were served at the owner’s Shanandoah drive home and so far 3 adult dogs have been seized along with 7 puppies. They’ll be held at Haven Humane until a hearing takes place. Three of the dogs are still on the loose. Anyone who sees the Wolf/Husky/Malamute hybrids can report them at 245-6065.
