The totals from Tuesday’s North State Giving Tuesday have blown away the previous record, set in 2021. Yesterday’s preliminary total is $1,445,575. Al the money was gathered through northstategives.org by the Community Foundation of the North State on behalf of 192 non-profit organizations in Shasta, Siskiyou and Tehama Counties. This was the 9th year for the event, held the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving. The top recipient for Shasta County is Exodus Farms Ministry, which brought in $45,640, followed by Haven Humane Society with $31,717, and SNIPPP, a pet vaccination and rescue organization, which took in $29,100. Siskiyou County also did very well. Their top earner is Mount Shasta Museum Association with $38,590.
