A Shingletown woman was found dead in the remnants of her burning house, and the Shasta Arson Task Force is investigating. Firefighters were dispatched just after 10 O’clock Thursday night to the home on Squaw Springs Road. They arrived to find the house fully involved in fire. The woman, who apparently lived there alone, has not been identified. The Arson Task Force says it’s protocol for them to investigate fatal fires, and they have not found any suspicious circumstances. They say the fire appears to be accidental.
