Update: Man Killed In Wrong Way Crash In Red Bluff Late Sunday

A fatal collision involving a big rig in Red Bluff Sunday night may have been caused by a wrong way driver. At 11:14PM a Freightliner tractor trailer with a 40,000 pound load driven by a 33-year-old Clovis man crashed head-on into a 2014 Honda Accord driven by a 27-year-old Corning man on Antelope Boulevard just west of the Highway 36/Highway 99 junction. The CHP says it appears that the Honda driver, who was killed in the collision, had drifted from the westbound lanes across the turn lane and into the path of the eastbound truck. Officers also believe that alcohol likely played a part in the crash. The eastbound lanes of Antelope Boulevard remained blocked until about 2AM.
