PG&E has been working to restore electricity to customers from a public safety power shutoff, while conditions have led to new shutoffs for others. There are more than 1,200 customers without electricity in Tehama County west of Interstate 5, as well as nearly 4,000 in Butte County, partly due to the Thompson Fire in the Oroville area. PG&E says there’s a potential for around 10,000 customers to be shut off, including in Shasta County, if it’s deemed necessary for fire safety. Affected customers should received notice prior to being shut off. Updates are posted at pgecurrents.com. PG&E can be contacted at 800-743-5002.
