Patrick Jones and his allies are not giving up on continued efforts to sow public doubt in the Elections Department. On Tuesday they again tried to force the retention of ballots from 22 months ago that lawfully need to be destroyed. The board has been down the same road before when they tried in 2022 to retain ballots from 2020. The point is moot anyway, because the board does not have the authority over election materials. That authority lies solely with Cathy Darling-Allen. Shredding was to begin at 8:30AM Wednesday morning.
