Update: Supervisors Approve Crye’s Request For Zogg Fire Documents

A special meeting Monday morning by the Shasta County Board of Supervisors was called for Kevin Crye’s continuing inquiries concerning how the PG&E Zogg Fire Settlement funds were distributed. Supervisor Mary Rickert called it a huge waste of time, and said county staff is being used improperly because the board has no jurisdiction to challenge any of the Zogg Fire disbursements. Interim County Counsel Gretchen Stuhr said fulfilling the request would use a lot of resources and staff time. In the end, the board voted 4 to 1 in favor of granting the request.
