Smoke will be seen to the east of Redding Wednesday and Thursday from a vegetation management project. The cutting, piling and burning will take place on the Swede Creek Ranch to the southwest of Oak Run. There will be a lot of emergency personnel and vehicles, as well as aircraft. Cal-Fire crews will be working to reduce non-native grasses and brush, remove dead and downed trees, enhance grazing habitat and improve the watershed.
