Volunteers Desperately Needed To Help Move Goods Ahead Of The North Valley Stand Down

It’s time for all Redding-area self-proclaimed patriots to put their pickup trucks where their mouths are. North Valley Stand Down is an effort to help veterans who are suffering from the effects of poverty and/or homelessness. The Stand Down offers a wide variety of free services and necessities to veterans in need. It starts Thursday at the Fairgrounds in Anderson and Wednesday is the big setup day. Volunteers are desperately needed to move pallets of goods from the storage location on Eastside Road in Redding to the Fairgrounds. Many boxes need to be moved and organizers don’t have the manpower or vehicles needed to do the job. Anyone who can help should call Dave Cockrill at 737-8486, or just show up at the Fairgrounds and ask how to help.
