Pink lights encouraging breast cancer awareness are illuminating the three Northstate Dignity Health hospitals, Saint Elizabeth in Red Bluff and Mercy Medical Centers in Redding and Mount Shasta. They’ll be lit up for the remainder of the month. Think Pink Day is Thursday of next week, when bags will be handed out containing educational information. The push for awareness of early detection has helped achieve a 98-percent survival rate for breast cancer patients when caught early.
