Trinity Mountain Road in French Gulch was blocked Tuesday afternoon while a man held Shasta County Sheriff’s Deputies in a standoff. Deputies had gotten word that 41-year-old Justin Reeder was at a home there. He was wanted on a felony domestic violence warrant but when he saw the deputies he retreated back inside the house. He did not respond to attempts to contact him, and since he was believed to be armed the SWAT Team was called in. Negotiators eventually contacted Reeder by text and convinced him to surrender.
