An Oregon man was arrested after a wild pursuit that started in Burney Friday night. Shortly before 11 O’clock deputies on Highway 299 tried to pull over a Ford F-150 but the driver refused to stop, leading a chase westbound at speeds of over 100 miles an hour, some of it while traveling in the oncoming lane. The pickup was chased all the way to Bella Vista, where spike strips were waiting to pop the tires. The truck pulled off and got stuck on some large rocks near best lane. The male driver and a female passenger fled on foot. When Duke the K9 was unleashed, the pair surrendered. 38-year-old Michael Ray Schulte had several felony warrants from Oregon, and was arrested on multiple charges. 23-year-old Abreanna McFayden was charged with resisting arrest.
