Water Levels On Lake Shasta Continue To Rise, Jumping 13% In Two Weeks

Shasta Lake’s water levels have seen a significant rise, providing some relief amid the ongoing challenges posed by California’s fluctuating water conditions. As of Thursday, Shasta Lake is 77% full, reflecting a 13% increase from just two weeks ago. The lake’s water levels have risen by 43 feet since hitting their lowest point on November 18th, when heavy rainstorms began to affect the region. Over the past week alone, the lake has gained nearly 16 feet of water, thanks in part to a series of storms. With 90% of the lake’s water supply coming from rain, these recent storms are critical to Shasta’s recovery.
