Weaverville Market Shutdown After Complaints Of Illegal Sales Of Cannabis

A raid has been made on Weaverville business by the Trinity County Sheriff’s Department. There had been complaints that the Valero Gas Station/Weaverville Market on Main Street was selling unlicensed Cannabis products, as well as chocolate that was laced with psychedelic mushrooms. Trinity County Environmental Health made an inspection of the store, then called the Sheriff’s Office. Investigators closed the business and brought in an inspector from the State Department of Cannabis Control. Hundreds of packages were seized that are believed to be infused with THC and Psilocybin. No arrests have been made.
