A man has been sentenced to a long prison term for firing a gun during an argument in Red Bluff. Last May, police responded to the City Park on a report of a shot fired. They found 39-year-old Joshua Wilson of Westwood walking away from the park on South Main Street and as they approached him he pulled a gun from his waistband and threw it in the bushes. Witnesses at the park said Wilson and another man had been in a confrontation when Wilson fired the shot, and they caught part of the incident on video. Wilson was convicted of charges including felony discharge with gross negligence. Due to a prior serious felony strike, Wilson has been sentenced to nearly 10 years in state prison.
