A Burney man was stabbed Friday night, and a woman suspected of being responsible is in custody. At 7:30PM Friday evening staff at Mayers Memorial Hospital called the sheriff’s office to report they were treating Manuel Castellanos for non-life-threatening stab wounds. Castellanos told deputies that he had been attacked at a home on Robin Way in Burney by 37-year-old Connie Bautista. She was found walking along Highway 299 and arrested for attempted murder. She’s being held on a Half Million Dollars bail. Anyone with information about the incident can call 245-6500.
