A hit-and-run driver left a trail of destruction at an east Redding drug store. At 1:25 Wednesday afternoon the driver of a red Chevy pickup at the Walgreen’s on East Cypress ran into a power pole and several vehicles in the parking lot, including a car that was struck so hard it was pushed 25 feet into the doorway of the store. The pickup driver then jumped a curb and plowed through a wrought iron fence to escape down an alley behind the store. Officers searched all over town and found the truck on Lake Boulevard. Nearby they found 44-year-old Christina McGill walking her dog and arrested her for hit-and-run and DUI.
