A woman was killed by a train in Red Bluff Thursday night. Shortly before 10 O’clock a Union Pacific train was southbound when it approached the area of South Main Street and Montgomery Road. Conductors saw a woman standing on the tracks facing west and blasted the locomotive’s horn but the woman did not move and the train could not stop in time. She was declared dead at the scene. After Red Bluff Police completed their on-site investigation, train traffic resumed. The Tehama County Coroner’s Office will release the woman’s name after family is notified.
