A Red Bluff woman who assaulted a nurse has been sentenced to prison. 28-year-old Lisa Whittenberg was arrested in June. She was being treated at a psychiatric health facility and started a fire in her room. When a nurse came in and tried to help Whittenberg get out of the room to escape the fire, Whittenberg punched the nurse in the face, causing her to fall backwards and hit her head. Whittenberg has been convicted on a felony count of battery with serious bodily injury, and sentenced to 4 years in state prison.
