A trial will begin in two weeks for Tyler McCain. He’s accused of the murder of his wife, Nikki Saelee McCain, to prevent her testimony against him for domestic violence. She vanished in May of last year it’s the first time a murder trial has been held in Shasta County without the discovery of a body, but there was apparently a lot of physical evidence in Nikki’s vehicle. Tyler did not waive the right to a speedy trial. His lengthy preliminary hearing ended with him ordered to answer to all charges. On Monday he had a settlement conference and reaffirmed his not guilty pleas. A jury trial set to begin November 18th.
