Public meetings will be held to gather input on how government can better serve the community as officials craft a five year strategic plan for Shasta County. Officials say they want to ensure that programs, services and investments reflect the needs and priorities of the people who live and work in Shasta County. A survey being used to gather opinions can be found through a link on the KQMS Facebook Page until the end of the month. Residents are also encouraged to attend an interactive discussion. There are four of them planned, all scheduled from 6PM to 8PM: Tuesday the 18th at Larry J Farr Community Center in Shasta Lake City, Thursday the 20th at Redding Veterans Hall on Yuba Street, Monday December 1st at Frontier Senior Center in Anderson, and one in Burney on December 3rd at a location to be determined.
