A longtime Chico pastor has a preliminary hearing Thursday on child molestation charges. 75-year-old Roger Scalice was arrested by Chico Police on October 27th after they were told that he had been inappropriately touching a child repeatedly for over a year. Scalice reportedly admitted to the conduct when questioned by deputies. Scalice is charged with two counts of continuous sexual abuse of a child. He faces a possible 16 years in state prison, and he’s being held on $400,000 bail. Due to Scalice’s lengthy career as a pastor in a position of trust, police are actively urging any other possible victims to call them at 530-897-4900.
