It’s only a drill! A full-scale disaster preparedness exercise will take place Thursday at Shasta Regional Medical Center in Downtown Redding. Many city and county government, non-profit and professional agencies will collaborate to test how well they respond to an active shooter or other similar critical incident. The drill has been in planning and development for several months. The exercise will take place on Shasta Regional property but hospital operations will not be affected.
