Redding Police have reported a gun-related arrest they made Friday evening. A Cadillac with a broken taillight was pulled over by officers near California Street and Eureka Way. Police say the driver, 36-year-old Michael Johns of Redding, was on parole and seemed very nervous. When officers saw what looked like a semi-auto handgun in the drivers door pocket, they forcibly removed johns from the car using control holds. The gun turned out to be a replica, but there was apparently an SKS Rifle in the backseat. Johns was booked on a parole hold and a felony for possession of the rifle.
