Jack Munns has passed the Mayor’s Gavel to Mike Littau as the Redding City Council did their annual reorganization Tuesday night. Paul Dhanuka is the new Vice Mayor and Erin Resner is Mayor Pro Tem. The vote was 4 to 1, with Tenessa Audette casting the no vote. She said she thought the leadership should be based on who got the most votes in the last election. The council also established a financial oversight committee to continually examine the city’s budget. The 7 member committee will consist of two council members appointed by the Mayor and 5 community members appointed by each councilperson.
