Supervisors Discuss Planned Behavioral Health Campus At Tuesday’s Meeting

The Shasta County Board of Supervisors held a discussion Tuesday about the True North Behavioral Health Campus, which would be built using $150 Million in state grant money and $50 Million from Signature Healthcare, the private company that would run it. A letter of opposition was signed by 3 of the 5 supervisors in October, but Chris Kelstrom changed his mind last week after HHSA Director Kristy Coleman said she had decided to support the project. The board will vote at another meeting about drafting a new letter supporting the project.
